About the College..

WPTC Kayamkulam right from its inception has been striving towards the lofty goal of gender parity in our technical education map. This institution has been in the forefront of turning out quality female work force whose knowledge and skill can be effectively engaged to meet the challenging demands of a technologically driven society of the 21st century.

Started in the year 1988, WPTC Kayamkulam with its sprawling campus over 9 acres, stands prominently on the side of N.H.47. The unique geographical topography of Onattukara, the medieval name for kayamkulam, with its rich cultural heritage of legends and falktales, create a congenial atmosphere for academic pursuits.

The famous archaeological museum Krishnapuram Palace; NTPC, one of the largest thermal power plants in India; Research Institutes likes CPCRI and Onattukara Rice Research Centre are located nearby. The institution is well-connected by road and rail network. Alappuzha-Kollam boat service runs via Kayamkulam. The rocking boat race on Kayamkulam Lake every year, is a wonderful experience to behold from the college. Educational institutions like MSM College, Govt. B.Ed College, Govt. ITI and various State and Central Schools are functioning near the college.
